Once a year, O’Brien’s Moving & Storage brags about our recycling efforts. Well, it’s that time of year!
In 2025, we recycled 60.26 tons of product, or 120,520 pounds. This was made up of mixed paper, packing paper, office paper, cardboard boxes, plastic wrapping used for moving, and mixed metal and steel from office furniture that was disposed of. The 60.26 tons recycled shattered our old record of 52.4 tons by almost 8 tons. Last year was then a record by almost 4 tons. Since we began recycling in 2005, we have now recycled over 417 tons, or about 834,500 pounds.
We try to reuse any material we can until it is no longer usable, but recycling matters—every ounce. There is not enough room on this earth for everything we keep dumping into it.
Please recycle as much as you can.
Doing Our Part Every Single Day
At O’Brien’s Moving & Storage, recycling is not something we do for publicity. It is part of how we operate. From reusing packing materials whenever possible to properly recycling cardboard, paper, plastic, and metal, we are committed to reducing waste in an industry that naturally uses a significant amount of materials.
We believe businesses have a responsibility to lead by example. Breaking records is great, but protecting the environment for future generations matters even more. We will continue doing our part, one pound at a time.
