Museums and historical organizations require more than standard moving services. Artifacts are often irreplaceable, oversized, fragile, or uniquely constructed. It requires crews with experience in moving these types of pieces, including safely disassembling and reassembling items, and having the proper equipment, and usually lift gate trucks.

Featured Project: Chester County Historical Society
This month, O’Brien’s Moving & Storage assisted the historic Chester County Courthouse with relocating a historic cannon and carriage from the Brandywine Battlefield Museum. This project required careful positioning, protective staging, and coordinated navigation through the interior hallways to ensure both the artifact and the surrounding building were protected throughout the move.
Just a few months earlier, we moved the Chester County Tourism Center, which included moving memorabilia, artifacts, and display cases.
One of our favorite moves was relocating antique automobiles from the 2nd floor of a museum.
