Hatboro is a growing town in southern Montgomery County, about 25 miles north of Philadelphia. Originally named in honor of one of the earliest residents’ professions as a hatmaker, Hatboro has seen its vacancy rate drop from 24% in 2010 to its current rate of 7.5%. The population has grown by 17% during the same period. The current population of Hatboro is just over 8,600. - Eaton Park: The park contains a basketball court, a Gaga Pit, a pavilion, a creek, and a walking trail.
- Tanner Park: A beautiful 1.4 acres with a basketball court, a baseball/softball field, a large field, and a large playground area that has a separate play area with climbing equipment.
- Miller Meadows: Home to a sign garden, monarch waystation, a managed meadow area, and a huge open space.
- Blair Mill Park: Home to the Hatboro Little League complex, which consists of six different baseball fields of varying shapes and sizes.
- Cilano Park: Abundant green space and a natural wetland area. It is also a passive recreation space for picnics, walking, and bird watching. A tree-lined tributary of Pennypack Creek runs right through the middle of the park and has one of the best views in Hatboro.
- Pennypack Park: Consisting of almost 18 acres, this property, prior to 2022, was Pennypack Elementary School and is now a passive recreation area for visitors and wildlife. The park also has a community center, which is equipped with a large gymnasium and multiple classrooms/meeting spaces. It is home to countless events throughout the year.
Hatboro is also the first WalkWorks route in Montgomery County. Created by the PA Department of Health to increase community involvement and attract visitors to communities in the state, WalkWorks encourages fun, educational, community-based walking routes and walking groups.
